Having been a keen woodworker since school and with his children having now left home, Tim has recently found more time to pursue his hobby of woodwork. He has made items of furniture for home and taken courses in local colleges to develop his knowledge. He is delighted to have found a local club that offers a variety of times for attendance to fit around the day job. Bowood carvers has allowed him to meet like-minded people who have a vast knowledge and experience of woodworking techniques that they are only too happy to share. As a result he has seen a marked progression and development of his woodwork skills and welcomes the opportunity to expand these into carving.
“Finding Bowood carvers has been the best thing to happen to my woodwork in years. I have learnt so much from other club members and am extremely grateful for their patience and advice. Membership has developed all areas of my woodwork skills and the friendly environment encourages an explorative approach. I am in the early stages of learning carving and have finished my first piece; it looks to me like a real work of art.”
